DESCRIPTION

Role Title: Strategy & Business Analysis Specialist Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote (NAMER and Europe-based) micro1 is engaging Strategy & Business Analysis Specialists to contribute to a project designed to assess and elevate the performance of advanced AI models in producing executive-level business deliverables. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work • Design and author strategy and analysis tasks that simulate real-world business challenges, including providing multi-file inputs (spreadsheets, PDFs, and source data). • Create gold-standard deliverables such as PowerPoint board decks, investment committee memos, and robust Excel financial models that reflect senior stakeholder expectations. • Establish the appropriate analytical frameworks, employing MECE structure and defensible recommendations for each scenario. • Develop detailed evaluation rubrics (35+ items) to assess AI model outputs on structure, accuracy, and executive-readiness. • Identify and document common failure modes in strategy communication, including unclear recommendations, logical inconsistencies, and unsupported figures. • Ensure all produced content exhibits clean visual storytelling, numerical rigor, and polished executive presentation. REQUIREMENTS

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in management consulting (MBB, tier-2), investment banking, PE, corporate strategy, or FP&A settings.
  • Hands-on ownership of board-level decks, strategy recommendations, or investment committee memos subject to senior review.
  • Expertise in financial modeling from scratch within Excel, encompassing scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Mastery of structured problem-solving approaches (MECE, issue trees, pyramid principle) and executive communication best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with a proven ability to produce executive-facing content.
  • Experience developing outputs against in-house or standardized deck templates.
  • Sector-specific analytical exposure (such as TMT, healthcare, consumer, or financial services) is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with rubric writing or AI training projects is a plus, though not required.
