All application steps are reused whenever another role requires the same step, so you never have to upload your resume or take the same interview twice About the Role Mercor is partnering with a leading language-learning platform to recruit Spanish learners for a short-term project involving recorded, one-on-one Spanish learning sessions. Learners will participate in genuine Spanish lessons with experienced tutors across different proficiency levels. The goal is to capture natural, high-quality interactions that reflect authentic language-learning experiences. What You'll Do Participate actively in one-on-one Spanish learning sessions with experienced tutors. Engage in natural, substantive conversations in Spanish based on assigned topics and lesson structures. Follow the tutor's instructions and participate in speaking, listening, and conversational exercises. Ask and respond to questions naturally throughout each session. Adapt to different lesson formats, topics, and conversational prompts. Maintain focus throughout the session and avoid extended periods of silence or off-topic conversation. Participate consistently in scheduled recorded sessions. Provide an authentic representation of the Spanish-learning experience through natural conversation. Sessions must run for at least 20 minutes and will generally last 20–30 minutes. Who Should Apply Individuals actively learning Spanish with a strong interest in developing their conversational skills. Native English speaker with strong verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree or higher. At least one year of Spanish-learning experience through formal education, tutoring, self-study, or other structured learning. Familiarity with basic to intermediate Spanish vocabulary and grammar. Ability and willingness to participate in spoken Spanish conversations. Comfortable interacting with tutors and responding to questions in real time. Reliable availability and a strong record of punctuality. Comfort participating in recorded online sessions. Ability to follow lesson structures and project instructions consistently. Learners from diverse educational, professional, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Project Details Duration: Approximately three weeks Commitment: Approximately seven hours per week Session Length: Approximately 20–30 minutes per session Language: Spanish and English Recording: Sessions will be recorded for project purposes We consider all qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations upon request. Contract and Payment Terms You will be engaged as an independent contractor. This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule. Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance. Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution. Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
